PART3Electromagnetic Field Circuit

Experiment Purpose

  • 1.Understand the principle of electromagnetic field.
  • 2.Understand the intensity of magnetic line and magnetic field.
  • 3.Understand Lentz-Faraday’s law.

Experiment 1 :Line of Magnetic Force

Theory

1. Magnetic Field by Magnet

(1) Magnetic Force and Line of Magnetic Force

① Magnetic Force: the force working between two magnets, or between magnet and a piece of metal

㉠ Attractive Force: a pulling force is working between two different poles of magnet.

㉡ Repulsive Force: a pushing force is working between two same poles of magnet.

② Magnetic Field: the area that magnetic force reaches

㉠ Direction: the direction to which N pole of magnetic needle points

㉡ Intensity: it is the strongest at both poles of magnet and gets weaker as it moves far from the magnet.

③ Line of magnetic force: the line that shows the shape of magnetic field that links the direction of magnetic field continuously

㉠ Direction: the direction to which N pole of magnetic needle of a compass points

㉡ It comes out from N pole and goes into S pole.

㉢ The denser the line of magnetic force is, the stronger the magnetic force is.

㉣ The line of magnetic force does not cross or split.

(2) Magnetic Field around Magnet

Experiment Process

1. Based on the theory above, draw the magnetic field of the bar magnet below in table 3-1.
